Provides a means of local area wireless data communications. The design combined 4-bit digital, analog and RF techniques to accomplish the specified task of remote signaling for passenger safety. RF communications used a custom designed low powered digital UHF synthesized transmission system operating at a maximum power output of 75dBuV/m at 3 metres.

DAVS is an in-cab video monitoring system which allows the train driver to view the boarding status of passengers on a station platform and confirm the safe operation of closing the train doors before proceeding. The system is fully automated and uses a combination of digital, analog and RF methods to select the appropriate RF channel and antennas, including the tuning, and processing of the incoming video. The driver display uses a customized high brightness, wide viewing angle LCD monitor that is designed to compensate for fluctuating ambient light conditions. DAVS can be expanded to include passenger compartment surveillance and duress monitoring.

A unit that interfaces voice, data and signaling over four or two wire communications circuits associated with VHF or UHF radio base stations. The hardware uses embedded processing and DSP techniques for all operational and setup functions. The LCU is configurable for all system parameters including signaling logic and VF signal levels.

A 680xx VME based distributed alarm and status monitoring system. The basic system topology consists of a central processor and multiple field monitoring units. The field monitoring units are linked by way of radio or line data concentrators to the central processor and operator workstations. All operator workstations are configured to run under MS Windows with a customized GUI.

A robust stand-alone telephone designed for outdoor use. The main attributes of this phone is its vandal resistant construction and operational features which include handsfree / handset full duplex operation, ISDN connectivity and video capability. The unit is also capable of being remotely programmed and interrogated by means of PC based operator workstations. The design of the Emergency Telephone includes an embedded controller and advanced DSP processing for voice conditioning, ISDN communications and other system operations.

A test system designed to verify the operation of circuits used in train braking and traction control systems. The primary system components consist of discrete logic as the interface controller and a host PC for generating and storing test results. The software is coded in assembler and runs under DOS. Extensive implementation of D/A and A/D conversion techniques were employed to characterize the test results.

Customised hardware and software for VF routing and signaling control in a large and diverse radio network. Embedded hardware and software development was used to provide extensive VF signal routing and processing capabilities together with dedicated HDLC communications to host computers that interface with multiple radio consoles.

A fully programmable extended temperature AC-DC Power Supply/Battery Charger that can be configured as either a power supply or "intelligent" battery charger. The unit is rated for currents up to 40A with an adjustable voltage between 10 and 20 volts. The modes of operation are configured by an integral LCD and keypad panel mounted on the front of the unit.

The Dynalog 9405 is a product designed for use in industries where cathodic protection measurements are an integral part of preventative maintenance. The development of the Dynalog 9405 was in response to a major public utility seeking a solution for a reliable, accurate and easy to use solid-state data logger. Primary attributes of this instrument include simplicity of use, stable operation in high vibration and/or elevated temperature environments. Data can be analyzed using Microsoft Excel or any other appropriate application software. Industries using the Dynalog 9405 are associated with Gas, Oil and Water.

Automated VHF/UHF and digital radio testing system for portable radios and base stations. The Radio Test System was specifically designed to test and generate reports for any radio that required specification compliance. The main system components were made up of various types of GPIB controlled test equipment, coupled to a number of customised radio interfaces and a multi-point RF switching matrix. The primary controller employs a PC running under MS Windows.

Multi-channel audio monitoring and switching console. Discrete analog design within a fully redundant modular configuration. This product is applied as part of an existing off-air audio surveillance monitoring and recording system.
